FMLA Mandate - Less than 3 days left to comply

REMINDER: All Federal posters must be posted in a conspicuous place in all establishments of your business so employees and applicants can easily read them. Failure to do so may result in fines up to $17,000. Learn how to avoid these fines here.

On December 18, 2008, the Federal Government released the NEW Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) poster based on revisions finalized in November. The new mandated poster is effective January 16, 2009.

This Act was recently amended for the first time since enacted in 1993 to provide additional clarification and to extend leave protections to the families of U.S. Armed Forces members. All covered employers are required to post the most recent FMLA poster along with the 5 other required Federal posters.
